A good 50 years after the invention of porcelain by Ehrenfried Walther von Tschirnhaus and Johann Friedrich Böttger, Wolfgang Hammann from Katzhütte and his son founded the Wallendorfer porcelain factory on March 30, 1764, after he was granted the license to manufacture porcelain in the Duchy of Saxony-Coburg.
LIKE A PRECIOUS JEWEL
For decorating the products with in-glazed gold designs, a thick layer of 24 carat gold is used so that repeated washing over time does not cause erosion or fading of the motifs.
Using this method gives the golden patterns a matt effect and a unique gold color that is not seen in ordinary gold dishes.
Keep in mind that products adorned with in-glazed gold like jewelry made of 24-carat gold, may be scratched over time due to the flexibility of gold, which indicates the thickness of gold in the designs and the nature of this precious metal.
However, while there is no need to worry about the loss of these motifs, like any other precious object, proper maintenance over time preserves its spiritual value.
